Yep, winter is certainly here and if you are like me, every year I seem to feel the cold more but this year I reckon I’ve solved the problem. I’ve been testing the Keis Heated vest and I have to say it is quite an amazing bit of kit. I wasn’t going to go to the Cold Kiwi but with this gear I think I will be changing my mind. You can wire these into the bike or if you plan to keep warm while away from your bike there is a very high quality battery that fits into a special pocket in the vest. The battery also has a temperature control unit on it. I used it in pretty cold conditions varying the temperature between 2 and 3 it lasted about 12 hours. The other neat thing is that it does not have wires but rather, special heating pads. This means you can put them in the washing machine (using Sport-Wash of course). So, there is no excuse for not getting to the rallies and riding in cold weather. Get in to your local dealer, get them to get you a Keis heated vest and I reckon you will be very pleased and wonder why you didn’t do it years ago – well, Keis wasn’t around years ago as it’s all new technology.
